Andre Clifton Norfleet, 55, departed this life on May 14, 2018 at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. He was born on June 27, 1962 to the late Bernice Norfleet Bell and Matthew Cuffee in Norfolk, Virginia. Andre attended Indian River High School and was formerly employed as a cable installer. He was predeceased by his younger sister, Angela “Ann” Norfleet.
Andre was a genuinely loving, caring person with a huge heart. He went out of his way to show his family just how much he loved them. Dre, as he was affectionately known, was generous to all and would give his last, if asked of him. He was dedicated to his family and beamed with pride at the accomplishments of his nieces and nephews, treating each of them as his own. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to spend time reminiscing about the “good ole days.” He will be remembered most for his optimism and contagious smile. Andre will be deeply missed.
Andre leaves to mourn his loss, his siblings, Shelica Norfleet of Norfolk, Roy Norfleet, Sr (Shenita) of Virginia Beach and Gary Norfleet of Chesapeake; sisters, Marian Riddick, Crystal Darby, Siobhan Staton, Gloria Bailey, Lucretia Williams, Avis Smith, Jacqueline Jones, Mona Gregory and Patricia Barmore; brothers, Matthew Cuffee Jr, Jay Cuffee, Shawn Staton, Tony Cuffee and Avery Gregory; aunts, Dianna Jordan, Pauline Perrin (Larry) and Janet Jordan; an uncle Douglas Norfleet (Jennifer). In addition, Andre leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
