Mrs. Annie Irene Thigpen, 80, of Virginia Beach, VA entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 4, 2019.

Annie was born to the late Thelma Daniels and Jonas Palmer on August 31, 1939 in North Carolina.

Annie was employed as a custodian for over 30 years with the Virginia Beach School Board until she retired. She was a faithful member of the Glorious Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith.

She was predeceased by her parents; her loving spouse, Willie Thigpen Sr.; sons, Willie Thigpen Jr. and Alphonso Thigpen; siblings, Dorothy Crumble, James Palmer, Starley Palmer, Willie A. Palmer, Milton Palmer, Johnny Palmer, Jesse Palmer, Richard Palmer (Dorothy).

Annie leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Carolyn Thigpen-Cross (Jerry), Annie C. Thigpen (Keith), Ronald R. Thigpen (Christina), Joseph A. Thigpen; grandchildren, Tinita, Jerrod, Vanshawn, Ditron, Keionta, Ahmad, Alphonzo, Demetrus, Chantrell, Alyssa, Jovonna, Asia; sibling, Clifton Palmer (Joanne), Brenda Griggs (Johnny), Burtice L. Palmer (Elaine); sister-in-laws, Shirley Palmer, Margaret Palmer, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
