Gary Lynn McCarty

Gary Lynn McCarty, 85, passed away July 24, 2018. He was born August 9, 1932 to the late Gladys and Russell McCarty in Topeka, Kansas.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Robin Burk.

Gary was a graduate of the University of Kansas.  He served in the U. S. Air Force where he received the National Defense Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal.  He worked as a mechanical engineer for Rockwell Manufacturing and Martin Marietta - NASA Titan Rocket Series and Sara Lee. His hobbies included flying and computer science.  

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 68 years, Eleanor McCarty; four daughters, Janine McCarty Sobell (Chris), Kim Lynch (Mike), Sherri McCarty and Stacey McCarty (Brian Mallard); son-in-law, Gary Burk; one brother, Fred McCarty; eight grandchildren, Shane, Kirk and Kyliegh Sobell, Chelsea Lynch O’hara, Erik and Ryan Burk, Devon Turner and Spencer Alexander; and a host of other relatives and friends.
