John Willie Watson, Sr., 79, passed away on April 11, 2018 at his residence in Columbus, Ohio. He was born February 19, 1939 to the late Catherine and Alvester Watson in Roanoke, NC. He was predeceased by his son, John W. Watson, Jr.
John received an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering and he served 4 years in the US Air Force as an Electronic Technician. He was a Vietnam Veteran and received his honorable discharge as a Staff Sargent.
He enjoyed camping, bowling and motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel M. Watson; one sister, Sandy Hicks; two brothers, James Watson and Floyd Watson; and a host of other relatives and longtime friends.
