Kevin Holloway, 58, entered into eternal rest on July 16, 2018. He was born January 7, 1960 to the late Shirley Mae Yokley and Wallace Holloway in Washington, DC. He was predeceased by two brothers, Darrell Holloway and Andre Holloway.
Kevin was a 1978 graduate of Ballou High School, Washington, DC. Following high school, he joined the U.S. Navy where he served for 21 years and retired as an AD. He was a member of Sheep Gate COGIC, Virginia Beach. He was employed with F.R.C.M.A. – Oceana Hanger V147 as an aircraft mechanic for 15 years.
Kevin was a die-hard Redskins fan, you would know what team it was from all the gear he wore. He was a huge debater and would debate about anything and nothing gave him more pleasure than talking about politics. He was known for saying, “That’s how I rock” and “Case over with”. Although he had a loud voice, bold personality and was an alfa male at its finest, he was also known for having the biggest heart, warm smile and was the biggest cry baby out of the Holloway siblings. It didn’t matter where he was, you knew when Kevin Holloway, Mikey’s big brother was in the room. Kevin also loved his Cadillac Escalade, which was not to be mistaken for a truck or car but his Cadillac. If he was out and about, you knew he was coming around the corner by his radio news blaring and slowly gliding through the neighborhood with that one hand on the steering wheel. Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In his leisure, he enjoyed watching sci-fi, FOX News, black and white movies, fishing with his children and listening to AM 790 Rush Limbaugh.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 36 years, Janice Holloway; one daughter, Jasmine Holloway (Craig Williams); one son, Byron Holloway; two sisters, Sandra Holloway and Denise Dabney; one brother, Michael Holloway (Michelle); three grandchildren, Jaylen Williams, Brooklynn Garcia-Holloway and Lennox Garcia-Holloway; dear aunts and uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was affectionately known as Papi to his great nieces and great nephew, Lauren, Tyler and Logan Telesford
