Margaret Ann (Seymore) Walston

Margaret Ann Seymore Walston, 94,entered into eternal rest on February 17, 2018.  She was born December 1, 1923 to the late Dorsey G. and Maggie Simmons Seymore in Currituck County, NC.  She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Walston and daughter, Wilma Walston Griffin.  Margaret was educated in the Currituck Training School and worked in retail for 30 years.

She was a member of Good Hope AME Zion Church and later became a member of Metropolitan AME Zion Church, Norfolk where she was a deaconess and a stewardess.  She attended Sunday School regularly and was also an active member of the Women's Fellowship, Senior Choir and Missionary Society.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a son-in-law, Rev. Paul Griffin; grandson, Sean Griffin; one sister, Mary Vernice Trafton; sisters-in-law, Minnie June Seymore and Hurlene Seymore; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
