Marvin Lawrence Dwayne Smith, Jr., 15, departed this life on June 17, 2018. He was born to Marvin L. D. Smith Sr. and Sheniece L. Kittrell on March 10, 2003 in Cary, North Carolina.
He was a very happy and loving baby and a loving child. Marvin Jr. was extremely intelligent for his age and was very protective of his mother and sisters even as a toddler. Marvin was a student of the Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Jacksonville school systems, where he always received A/B honors. He loved sports and could often be found playing basketball or football. He was very competitive at everything he did and loved to talk trash with the older males in the family because he felt that he was as athletic or even more athletic than they were. He had a great sense of humor and was often told by his mother that he played too much.
Marvin recently moved to Pennsylvania to bond with his biological father. He transferred to Pocono Mountain East High School and finished out the school year as strongly as was expected of him. He had been conditioning with the football team of his new high school and was looking forward to starting his first job as a lifeguard at Lake Naomi.
Marvin Jr. leaves to cherish his memory his father, Marvin L.D. Smith Sr. (Julicia); his mother, Sheniece L. Kittrell; his step-father, Kevin Rhodes; maternal grandparents, James and Dorene Kittrell; paternal grandmother, Renee Hicks; seven sisters, Adysha, Aniiyah, Makayla, Jasmine, Nyla, Tateyana and Kyana; two brothers, Syncere and Devonte; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his younger brother, Jaiveon and his paternal grandfather, Marvin July.
