Michael Allen Davis

Michael Allen Davis, 59, of Suffolk, VA passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on April 23, 2018.  Michael was born on August 12, 1958 to the late Hattie Mae and Charles Davis in Toledo, Ohio.  He was also predeceased by his grandparents, Lovie and Ernest Eaton and three sisters, Beverly Boykin, JoAnne Wright and Charlotte Davis.

He received his education in the Toledo Public School system graduating from Jesup W. Scott High School in 1976, where he was a proud member of the Marching 100 Band playing the tuba.

Michael joined the US Navy in 1977 and received an honorable discharge in 1981.  He worked at the US Army Corp of Engineers from 1982-1984.  He also worked for the United States Postal Services where he retired after 32 years of service.

Mike enjoyed fishing, bowling, DJing, and spending time with family and friends and traveling the world with his beautiful wife, Jennifer.

Michael leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Jennifer Davis; daughter, Sherella Willoughby (Chuck); Grand Angel, Taylor Willoughby; four brothers, William Davis and Douglas Davis both of Toledo, Ohio, Richard Davis of Bradenton, FL and Kenneth Davis (Kathy) of Tucson, AZ; two sisters, Geraldine Butts (Gregory) of Bradenton, FL and Ernestine Smith of Toledo, OH; two sisters-in-law, Thomasina Allen of Virginia Beach and Barbara Dolgia of Norfolk; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
