Michael Atuanya Owens, Sr.,41, entered into eternal rest on October 25, 2019. He was born on June 21, 1978 to Barbara Owens and Larry Cox, Sr.
Michael was born in Norfolk, VA and raised in the Princess Anne Plaza section of Virginia Beach. He was educated in the Virginia Beach Public School system and attended Princess Anne High School. He loved watching movies, fishing, and playing with his dogs, but the most important thing in his life was spending time with his family.
Michael was predeceased by his grandparents, Oliver and Margaret Owens and his two favorite aunts, Phyllis Corprew and Sarah Owens.
Michael leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Kayce Owens, Mikeiya Owens, Amari Barnes, Michael A. Owens Jr., Johaun Owens, Michael Antonio Owens, Isis Owens, Scot’Lyn Owens; parents, Barbara Owens, Larry Cox Sr.; siblings, Vincent Cox (Wendy), Tony Cox, Larry Cox Jr. (Medesha), Terry Cox (Jennifer), Tamika Cox-Jackson (Randy), Kaira Cox, India White, Larron Sims; special cousins, Roshaud Owens, Katrina Owens; and a host of uncles, aunts and other family members and friends
