William H. Forbes, Sr., 79, answered the Master’s Call from labor to rest on January 12, 2018. He was born May 2, 1938 to the late Geneva and Israel Forbes in Princess Anne County, VA. He was predeceased by four siblings, Mary Louise Forbes, Robert Forbes, Margaret Smith and Benjamin Forbes.
William was employed by the City of Virginia Beach Mechanics Division for over 20 years. He later left to pursue his personal goal and founded Forbes Excavation and Landscaping Service.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Bernice Forbes; one daughter, Lesha Smith (Abraham); five sons, Nino Forbes, Franando Forbes, Wayne Forbes, William Forbes, Jr. and Israel Akinkoye “Vincent Forbes”; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
