Willie Thrower Obituary

Willie Edward Thrower, 85, passed away June 9, 2018. He was born Oct. 26, 1932 to the late William Henry and Melinda Thrower in Gilmerton, VA Norfolk County. He was a graduate of Douglass Park High School.

Willie was a veteran of the US Army and retired from the New York City Health Department after 20 years of service. After relocating to Virginia, Willie was employed with Grand Affairs for 9 years.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Theresa Thrower; six children, Margaret Clarke, Bridget Lacy, Latisha Temple, Antoine and Wayne Thrower and Carl Currie; one sister, Daisey Falk; and a host other relatives and friends.
