Clarence Hartman Copeland, Jr.

Clarence Hartman Copeland, Jr., 72, transitioned from this life on October 7, 2021. He was born October 23, 1948 in Norfolk, VA to the late Clarence Sr. and Rosanna Copeland. Clarence was educated in the Norfolk public school system and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. After graduation, he furthered his education by attending Norfolk State University. 

For 2 years, Clarence served in the United States Marines and was also a Vietnam Veteran. Clarence was a Freight Truck Driver for Estes Express Lines for 39 years. He was a member of the American Legion and he loved fishing and traveling in his spare time.  

Clarence leaves to cherish his fond memories, his wife, Chenay Copeland; son, Theo Copeland (Sonia); grandchild, Jevae’ Copeland; siblings, Barbara Green, Antoinette Conner, Joseph Copeland, Chris Copeland Sr., Carol Copeland, Roxanne McDowell (John), Cheryl Copeland; uncle, Milton Copeland (Christine);and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
