Jessica Hoyle Obituary

Unforgettable that's what you are, Unforgettable though near or far, Like a song of love that clings to me, How the thoughts of you goes things to me, Never before has someone been more, …Unforgettable!

On Monday, May 15, 2023, the Heavens opened up and an explosion blasted through; welcoming home a daughter like no other! Daddy's princess received her crown. The morning sun shined brightly as she peacefully entered into her eternal rest to be with her GeGe, her Papa Hoyle, and her granddaddy Johnson. They knew she was coming, and prepared the Heavens, in her quiet yet sincere demeanor, a light as bright as a supernova appeared in the celestial sphere.  Jessica Alexis Hoyle was born on November 25, 1987, to Kevin and Violet Hoyle in Chesapeake, VA.  God gave us her and her life "above all, clothe our two families with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony", just as Colossians 3:14 describes.

Jessica was raised in Virginia Beach, VA and was a member of First Baptist Church - South Hill where her pastor, Michael R. Toliver lovingly prayed for her in each stage of her life. His fervent prayers kept her grounded as a believer in Christ and encouraged her to have unyielding faith. Although she didn't want to follow in her momma's career footsteps, she wanted to be in close proximity to her as much as she could, during Jessica's matriculation at Landstown High School, she and all her friends would gather in her mommy's office during lunch and after school.

Jessica attended Norfolk State University where she found comfort and support in the Dozoretz National Institute for Mathematics and Applied Sciences (DNIMAS) program where she gained another mother in Dr. Aliecia McClain and two great mentors, Mr. Michael Parker and Dr. Howard Duncan.  Her undergraduate life was such a welcoming environment and she flourished in her academics. Dr. Duncan's inspiration led her to love Biology. Jessica had goals! If she thought it… she did it! She continued her education at Virginia Commonwealth University with her eyes set on the highest accolade in her chosen path. In 2014, Jessica graduated with the highest honor for practicing pharmacists with a Pharm.D. Degree. In the years to follow, Dr. Jessica established herself in Richmond, Virginia, where she worked first as a pharmacist at Walgreens then at John Randolph Hospital. She stayed busy. Jessica's passion for the field led her to use her training as a part-time Clinical Pharmacist at Poplar Springs Behavior Health Center in Petersburg, Virginia.

Jessica adored nature and animals. If there was a problem to be solved or a task to be conquered, the remedy lay in nature and animals. We always had to take a test to see with which animal we connected.  Not suprising, Jessica and her mommy have Owl Intuitions. Jessica's bishon frise, Xena, and her pit boxer mix, Zoya, were the loves of her life. They protected her, they loved her, and they obeyed her. They are mourning her but they had the best mom in her.

Jessica was truly a goal setter and a goal getter.   If she was going to do something, it would be done right the first time. She was logical and systematic but watch out when she took flight! She wanted a six-figure job. Check! She wanted a big house! Check! She wanted to start her own business! Check! Check! She loved to go on "adventures". She traveled near and far to have relaxing, reclusive weekends in tiny houses, or tree houses, or somebody's AirBnB by the sea. She would not stay anywhere for long because she had to get back home to Xena and Zoya.  God let Jessica stay with her family for 35 years. Now she is with Him.  We know we will see her again, laugh again, stroll again, hug again.

Jessica leaves to cherish her loving, charismatic, humorous memory, her parents, Kevin R. Hoyle, Sr. and Violet J. Hoyle, Ph.D., her devoted brother Kevin R. Hoyle, II (Courtney), her adventurous niece, Imani Noelle, and dynamic nephew, Kevin R. Hoyle, III of Virginia Beach, VA; her maternal grandparents, Rev. Henry and Bessie Massey,  her paternal grandmother, Marie Hoyle, uncles, Delafayette Hoyle, Jr., and Virmell Bryant Johnson of Winston-Salem, NC, Terry Hoyle, of Virginia Beach, VA, aunts, Laura Hoyle of Virginia Beach, VA, Rev. Valerie (Anderson) Hicks, and Melissa (John) Hogg, of Winston-Salem, NC, Natasha (Paul) Trecori of Chicago, IL, one godson, Zakai Uzzle son of her sister-friend Maimuna (Jamal) Uzzle, of Los Angeles, CA, a sister-cousin, Candice Hoyle of Cibolo, TX, a brother-friend, Kurt "Big Bear" Goodman of Virginia Beach, VA, closest friends, Adrienne Albes Sinclair, Adeline Cruz, Amicia Sykes, Ramona Diaz, and a dear special friend, Travis Morris, of North Chesterfield, VA, a host of close cousins, other relatives, sorority sisters and friends.
