Larry D. Bly

Larry Donell Bly, 69, transitioned from this life on April 30, 2021. He was born in Princess Anne County on May 19, 1951 to the late Charlie and Florence Bly. Larry attended Seatack Elementary School and graduated from First Colonial High School. He worked as a supervisor for the City of Virginia Beach Department of Highways and retired after 43 years. Larry was a loyal member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. He was also a member of the Trustee Board and president of the male usher board.

He leaves to cherish his memory his adoring wife of 42 years, Renita Bly; three children, Donell Bly (Shawnell), Lawrence Bly, Latasha Flamer (Deondre); grandchildren, Ka’Phersa Wilson, Amaya Bly, Deyona Flamer, Deondre Flamer Jr; great-grandchildren, Amari & Jeremy Wilson; siblings, Charlie Bly (Ava), Nathan Bly (Phyllis), Wally Bly (Jennifer) and a host of other relatives and friends
