Celebrating the Life of Minister Linda Gail Ford Hall
Early in the afternoon on January 10, 2023, God extended his hands to Minister Linda Gail Ford Hall, and invited her to be one of his Angels. Linda was born on January 15, 1954 in Virginia Beach to her mother, Grace Ford and her father, Nathaniel Ford, Sr. She was predeceased by both of her parents.
Linda also known as Gail, became a member of St. Stephen’s Church of God in Christ in Virginia Beach, VA at an early age. She served in many compacities, working for the Lord. She visited nursing homes, was an intercessory prayer warrior, served in hospitality, a greeter, served in the children nursery, an usher, and ministered the word of God to the masses.
Gail obtained her education in the Virginia Beach public school system. She later married, Raymond Hall Sr. in June 1971. They traveled during his military career, to places like Texas, Georgia, and Germany. While residing in Germany as a military wife, she raised her children, worked as a KP Manager, and later worked as a Teacher’s Aide.
Gail was truly a people person. I believe no one she met was a stranger to her. She loved talking to everybody. Her personality was bubbly, outgoing, gentle, loving, and caring. She loved helping people. If you couldn’t drive or had a doctor appointment, run errands, she would be the first to extend her help and drive you wherever you needed to go. To know Gail was truly to love her.
She loved playing cards, entertaining, and Fashion. Gail was such a Fashionista that when she came to church people couldn’t wait to see what outfit she would wear with a hat that made a statement all by itself. Let’s not talk about the Bold Jewelry blinging, matching purse and shoes. The best was yet to come, her hair styles that involved the many celebrity wigs she wore, and each one had a name. Only “Linda Gail” could pull off that celebrity look to not have been in the Entertainment Business.
Gail loved her family and friends, but her greatest joy was her 5 grandchildren. If you wanted to see a face light-up, or hear a voice full of excitement, just talking about her grandchildren, you could see and hear it in hers. Her grandchildren filled her heart with so much joy. They put so much zest into her life. She loved them with all her heart.
