Norman Edward Peterson

Norman Edward Peterson, 77, affectionately known as “BB”, transitioned from this life on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital. He was born on May 26, 1943 in Alberta, VA to the late Emmett and Mabel Peterson.

In his early twenties, “BB” moved to New York with his mom and sister. In 1967 he met his adoring wife Delores Outlaws and they got married on June 24, 1974 and they remained in Brooklyn, NY until they moved to Virginia Beach, VA in 2014. Aside from Norman being a family man, if you knew him you know that he loved listening to all types of music.

Besides his parents, Norman was predeceased by his loving wife, Delores Peterson; grandson, Derek Howell, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his 5 children, Monica Kelley of Trenton, NJ, Norman Kelley of Brooklyn, NY, Natasha Howell of Virginia Beach, VA, Alonzo Garcia of Brooklyn, NY, and Jermaine Peterson (Arania) of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Maggie Green; nieces, Felicia Green Kates (Anthony) and Donna Green Session; 14 grandchildren, Porstia Howell, Joseph Demmons, Adam Demmons, Norman Kelley Jr., Chevy Demmons, Michael Howell, Juwan Garcia, Zahmeik Tyler, Nichelle Peterson, Zaire Peterson, Mariah Demmons, Dashawna Barnes, Aniya Peterson, and Ny’asia Peterson;  3 great grandchildren, Ahonesty Johnson, Samir Rowe, and Amara’Kionni Malora Harris; and a host of other family and friends.
