Roderick L. Trotman

Roderick L. Trotman 66, better known as “Rod” or “Rick”, entered eternal rest on September 9, 2021. Born in Norfolk, Virginia but was raised in Va. Beach. He was a graduate of First Colonial High School and was a basketball player during his tenure there. After graduating high school, he studied computers in Washington, DC. He was a career Truck Driver and was passionate about sports, especially football and basketball. Always watching and analyzing games, he always stood firm in beliefs for them both. Although he had no children of his own, he loved his nieces and nephews. He is proceeded by his Father, John J. Trotman, mother Lillian C. Trotman and brothers, Johnnie & Michael Trotman. He is survived by 4 brothers, Charles (Vera), Stephen (Carolyn), Tony (Agatha) & Terry Trotman, Jacqueline Dorsey (Steve); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Viewing will be Thursday 9/16/20 5-7 pm and Funeral services are on Friday, 9/17/21 12 pm at Beach Funeral & Cremation Services, 4456 Bonney Rd., Va. Beach, VA 23462.  www.beachfuneralservices.com.
