"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
Shardae Gayle Gibbons 26, transitioned from this life on Monday, January 11, 2021 with her parents and two brothers by her side. She was blessed to enter this world on March 21, 1994 to Kord and Michelle Gibbons in Norfolk, Virginia. Although, Shardae was born in Norfolk, she was raised in Chesapeake, Virginia and was a 2012 graduate of Deep Creek High School. Soon after graduation, she furthered her education by completing one year at Virginia school of Culinary Arts.
Shardae was a military dependent because of her father’s service to our country. She was currently a customer service representative for Capital One and she enjoyed her time working with her colleagues. Shardae was also a Lupus Warrior with the “Lupus Foundation”. As many may know she was diagnosed with Lupus at a young age, but she was a fighter, and at the end the Lord saw fit to call her home.
Shardae loved to bake! She enjoyed cooking her favorite meals while watching her favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. She adored the precious moments she had with her parents watching the Steelers games from the football stadium. Even though she was a sports fanatic she also had a love for make-up, she could often be found doing her own and eventually she became a make-up artist because she was exceptionally well at it. Shardae’s presence always lit up the room with joy and she will be missed by many.
Shardae was predeceased by her grandmother, Gayle Gibbons; and grandfather, Fred Taylor.
Shardae leaves to cherish her memories her loving parents, Kord and Michelle Gibbons; brothers, Kordrick Jr. & Nehemiah Gibbons; grandparents, Jeffrey Hopkins, Gwendolyn Johnson; and a host of other relatives and friends that loved her deeply.
