Mr. Tyrone “Rome” Cooper, 69, was born on June 23, 1953 to the late Richard and Addie Owens Cooper in Virginia Beach, VA where he remained until he transitioned from earthly labor to heavenly reward on March 17, 2023.
Tyrone was educated in the Virginia Beach public school system and worked for them at various locations professing to be a jack of all trades.
Tyrone had a deep devotion to God and loved his family. He was a very friendly person who never met a stranger and had a limitless love not only for his family, but for all people. Rome used his gift to gab in every way possible and his “GQ” style of dress. He truly was a smooth operator.
Tyrone will be missed by all who came into contact with him.
Tyrone was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Addie Cooper; brothers, Larry “Bunkin” Cooper, Norman Cooper, Steven Cooper, sister, Barbara Ann Lewis; grandparents, Russel and Helen Owens, Richard and Mary Cooper; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Left to cherish his precious memories are his sister, Phyllis Bly (Nathan); brother, Blair Cooper; a very special devoted niece, Wanda Ashby, all of Virginia Beach, VA; four aunts, Mrs. Blanche Albritton, of Mitchellville, MD, Mrs. Hazel Cooper, Mrs. Ernestine Cooper, both of Virginia Beach, VA, Mrs. Alice Cooper of Chesapeake, VA; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Rest in peace Rome. We loved you, but God loved you best.
See you later. To God be the glory!
