Wyvonnie Julita Gilliard

Our beloved Wyvonnie Julita Gilliard was born on Tuesday December 26, 1950, to Robert and Berneice Hicks at Cooper Hospital in Camden, New Jersey.

Wyvonnie graduated from Cathedral Academy High school, Camden New Jersey in June of 1969. Shortly after on July 12, 1969, she married the love of her life, Charlie L. Gilliard Sr. Out of this love came four children.

Wyvonnie held positions with Traveler’s Insurance Company in Voorhees, New Jersey, Cooper Medical Center in Camden New jersey and Tri-County Security in Camden, New Jersey where she retired from in 2012. She also served on the board of South Camden Citizen in Action for over five years.

Shortly after retirement, Wyvonnie and Charles relocated to Virginia Beach, Virginia. She then joined Harvest the World Church Ministries and gave her life to Christ. She loved to help her family and friends until the day God called her home.

Wyvonnie was preceded in death by her mother, Berneice Hicks; father, Robert Hicks; and one daughter, Yvette Alisa Gilliard.

Wyvonnie leaves to cherish her fond memories, her husband of 52 years, Charlie L. Gilliard, Sr.; son, Charlie L. Gilliard Jr. (Sharon); daughters, Julita Long (Wykeen), and Enjoli Gilliard; eight grandchildren, Charlie L. Gilliard III, Omni Gilliard, Lakiyah Gilliard, Yahsere Gilliard, Qwalil Gilliard, Kuade’ Gilliard, Gary Colemon III, and Robert Colemon; three great-grandchildren,  Xena Gilliard, Ziyon Gilliard and Zhanae Gilliard; sister, Vivian Brice (David); three brother-in-laws, John Gilliard, Donald Gilliard, Michael Gilliard; and a host of other relatives and friends.
