Virginia Sue Harrison

Virginia "Ginna" Sue Harrison, 69, passed away January 2, 2018 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Ginna was born April 7, 1948 to the late Harold and Eva Schulz of Rochester, Wisconsin.  She was predeceased by a brother, WIlliam "Bill", a brother, James "Jim", as well as several aunts and uncles.

She attended Rochester Grade School and graduated from Waterford Union High School.  Her early years were spent living on a farm, which probably attributed to her lifelong fondness of animals.  After graduating from high school, Ginna was hired by the Nestles Company in Burlington, WI, where she worked as a secretary.  Most of her adult years were spent living in Virginia Beach, VA where she grew to enjoy the ocean sunrises and sunsets, as well as the calming of sounds of the ocean waves.

She worked for various Veterinarians and Medical offices.  Helping the patients through the maze of insurance billing.  She also had her own business, Paws and Whiskers, doing in home pet sitting.  She loved animals so much, she would've done this for free if she could.

Ginna was a member of New Life Church in Virginia Beach and involved in several home groups and bible studies. She loved Jesus, she called him Pap, with all of her heart and was not shy about it.

She was also involved in the Stroke Support Group at Sentara Beach General Hospital, and was a volunteer with the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.  She worked very hard to recover from her first stroke and wanted to help others do the same.

Ginna is survived by her son, Michael "Mike" Harrison of Virginia Beach; her brother, Richard "Rick" Schulz (Janice) of New Richmond, WI; sister-in-law, Patricia "Pat" Schulz of Burlington, WI; and a host of other relatives and friends.
